Boxing, rhythm
and wrestling
for beginners
Train for the outside, not just the mirror. Plain-language coaching in Somerdale, NJ that turns total beginners into stronger, healthier people.
“I am very patient and accepting.” — Vincent Toscano Jr
You don't want a gym. You want to be a stronger, healthier person.
You've watched forty videos. Somebody told you to brace your core, rotate your shoulder and keep a neutral spine, and then you threw a punch and it felt like swatting a fly. That's not a strength problem. That's a translation problem.
So you either don't start, or you start hard, get sore, get bored, and quit in week three — and decide you're just not an athlete. You are. Nobody ever put it to you in words your body could actually use.

Years coaching combat sports
12 seasons in a wrestling room. 20 years teaching boxing to close friends and family.
A friendly motivator who understands your goalsand reminds you
That's the whole coaching philosophy, in his own words. Here's what it looks like in a session.
Metaphors, not jargon
Your jab is a snake striking and going straight back into the grass. Your rear hand screws in a lightbulb over your head. The mechanics arrive by themselves.
Rhythm before power
Rhythm is what turns someone doing punches into someone boxing. Once the timing is loud and the feet are quiet, power shows up uninvited.
Patience, on purpose
Nobody gets rushed through the basics, because the basics are the entire sport. I'm very patient and accepting — that's the technique, not the packaging.
Be my next success story
The Squeeze Fatigues is new. That means the first people through the door get the most attention I will ever be able to give, and their results become the first thing on this page.
Client results are coming soon. I would rather show you real ones than made-up ones.
Built for the trail
Outcomes worth having are things you can do outside, not numbers on a screen.
01
Wind that lasts a hill
Breath work is coached from session one, so a long climb stops being a negotiation.
02
Hands you can trust
A stance and a guard you can hold while tired — the only time it actually matters.
03
Grip and carry
Wrestling-room strength: hauling, dragging, holding on longer than you thought.
04
Timing you keep
Rhythm is a skill, not a phase. It stays with you long after a training block ends.
Four steps, no mystery
No. 01
We talk first
You tell me what you want to be able to do. I ask about injuries, surgeries, and anything a doctor has told you to avoid.
No. 02
I show, you copy
I lead by example — you see the finished version at a speed you can actually copy before you're asked for it.
No. 03
Base before skill
Stance, footwork, breath, then rhythm. Power comes last, and it comes on its own once the base holds.
No. 04
Take it outside
Grip, hips and endurance that carry into real terrain — a hill, a hike, a long day on your feet.
“I’ve always loved helping people learn new ways to be healthy, active, and get better shape.”
